Ingredients:
1/2 Cup (1 stick) – Unsalted Butter
2 Cups – All Purpose Flour
3-4 each – Ripe bananas
¼ tsp – Ground Cinnamon
1 Cup – Brown Sugar
pinch of Kosher Salt
1 tsp – baking soda
1 each – Large Egg
Optional add-ins: nuts, chocolate chips, etc.
Brown the butter on the stove over medium low heat; heat until the milk solids toast and separate from the butter. (The browned butter will become fragrant.)
Sprinkle the cinnamon straight into the hot butter and set aside.
Mash the bananas in a separate mixing bowl using a fork.
Add the butter and sugar to the bowl and mix to combine.
Make sure to cool the mixture so the egg doesn't cook when added; combine
Add the all purpose flour and incorporate halfway.
Add in any optional chocolate, nuts, etc. and incorporate. Be careful not to overmix the batter.
Pour the batter into a loaf pan or 8 x 8 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees F until a toothpick inserted comes out with some moist crumbs (not completely dry.)
Baking time will vary but check after the 40-minute mark.
